The Tour
- The tour begins with an examination of the people,
architecture and history of Boston's elegant Back Bay.
- A stop is made for a visit to the John Hancock
Observatory and and an opportunity to enjoy a variety of interesting presentations and
panoramic views from 740 feet above the city. . . .
(Optional).
- A shopping/lunch stop is made at the Faneuil Hall/Quincy
Market Place area before continuing into Boston's North End for a stop at the
Paul Revere
House and visit to the Old North Church.The
trip to Charlestown brings us to the Bunker Hill Monument and a visit to
Old Ironsides.
- The return trip to Boston passes over prestigious gas lit
Beacon Hill followed by a visit to the Bull and Finch Pub. . . . (Cheers)
- Explanations of Boston's fashionable Newbury Street
is
included before a 4 mile scenic drive along the Charles River and a visit to
Cambridge
for commentary about the Harvard Square area and the part played by Cambridge in
revolutionary history.
- The hotel return trip will take us past
M.I.T. and
provide a picturesque skyline view of Boston from the Cambridge side of the
Charles River.
